TERMS
Terms of Use
Use the site, enjoy the site, don't sue us if a tokens-per-second number is a little off. Details below.
What this site is
offthecloudai.com is an information and education site about running AI locally. Everything here — the explainers, the deep-dive notes, the "Can I Run It?" and "Cheapest Box" tools, the hype scoreboard — is provided in good faith and on a best-effort basis, drawn from our own research and testing.
No guarantees
The tools and figures are guidance, not a promise. Whether a given model runs on your exact machine depends on your OS, drivers, runtime, context length and more. Check for yourself before you buy hardware. We do our best to keep everything accurate and to correct mistakes when we find them, but we can't warrant that every number is perfect at every moment.
Not affiliated, not sponsored
We're independent. The AI companies, models, and hardware we discuss are not affiliated with us and haven't endorsed us. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners; we name them for identification and commentary only.
Links and embeds
The site links to and embeds YouTube. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when you use them. We're not responsible for third-party content.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, you'll get the newsletter and can unsubscribe any time via the link in every email. That's the whole deal.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Use your own judgement, especially before spending money on hardware.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
